Arkansas Tech Capstone Project Becomes Business
Arkansas Tech University's computing sciences program has produced more than just graduates; it has birthed a successful business venture.
Carter Ayers, Gavin Jones, Damian Kimbrough, and Matthew Miller, who developed a closed-domain artificial intelligence system for their capstone project during the 2025-26 academic year, are now at the helm of Apophatic AI. This innovative company assists pastors in leveraging artificial intelligence to craft accessible messages for their congregations.
In September, the four entrepreneurs presented their technology at a national conference for pastors in Houston, hosted by Community Transformation Church. They received recognition on stage, demonstrated their AI system, and connected with pastors through a booth at the event.
