Fort Frye’s patient, grinding offense led to a 34-6 win over Warren Friday night, showcasing a "business-like" approach on both sides of the ball.
"It did feel like it was a very business-like game for us," said Fort Frye head coach Eric Huck. " ... We were patient on offense and moved the ball methodically down the field."
Key Moments:
- Fort Frye chewed up eight minutes of game clock with 12 consecutive running plays on their opening drive.
- A long punt return by Gavin Rauch set up the Cadets deep in Warren territory.
- The Cadets' only mistake came on their first possession when they fumbled, giving Warren a short field.
The Warriors (0-5) defense held firm against the Cadets for the most part, but the latter's offense, powered by Hesson, consistently moved the chains.
"It was one of those grinding five yards at a time games and that is what we want," Huck emphasized.
