Charisse Childers Joins Halsey Real Estate Team

Halsey Real Estate has added commercial real estate agent Charisse Childers, a longtime Arkansas workforce and economic development leader, to its Little Rock commercial real estate team.

Childers, who has held a real estate license since 1989, brings 35 years of experience in business, education, government, and nonprofits, along with relationships with employers and community leaders throughout Arkansas. She most recently served as director of Workforce Policy and Innovation for the Arkansas Department of Commerce.

“Charisse brings a combination of experience and relationships that is hard to replicate,” said Jerry Halsey, president and CEO of Halsey Real Estate. “She knows communities and business leaders across Arkansas, and she understands how companies think about growth, people, and place. That perspective will make her a valuable resource for our clients and a strong addition to our Little Rock team.”

During her career, Childers has held several workforce and economic development positions. She served as executive director of Accelerate Arkansas, director of the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and director of the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services, where she oversaw more than 1,000 employees, a statewide network of 54 offices, and more than $330 million annually in state and federal funds.

Her responsibilities included working with commercial property owners, leases, and office locations across the state. Combined with decades of work with Arkansas employers and companies considering investments in the state, that experience provides a natural foundation for her work in commercial real estate.
