Women's sports are gaining momentum in Philadelphia, and leaders believe the city is poised to capitalize on this success. Excitement is building around the new WNBA team set to arrive in 2030, becoming the city's first new professional sports franchise since 2005 and the league's 18th nationwide.

The Philly Ad Club, Drexel University, and MOD Worldwide co-hosted the "Business of Women's Sports" conference to explore this growing trend. Caroline Fitzgerald, CEO of GOALS, emphasized the importance of valuing women in the sports industry.

The Unrivaled Women's Basketball League set an attendance record at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, further showcasing the growing interest in women's sports. John Stanley, CEO of MOD and MODHealth, noted the increasing attention from advertisers and investors.

The Philadelphia Sisters, a group dedicated to promoting women's sports in the city, is among those driving this movement forward. They recently hosted the Ennoble Care Philly Open at the Hamlin Tennis Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

"Philadelphia has been amazing," said Alexandra Neidbalski-Sykes, president and co-founder of Philadelphia Sisters. "It's so hungry for women's sports. It's happening. And before you know it, we will be the sports capital of the world."
