EmBe announces EMBES — A Tribute to Women winners

Nine women were recognized on Thursday with the annual The EMBES — A Tribute to Women awards. Now in its 53rd year, this event celebrates the impact of women, men, and businesses in the Sioux Falls area while raising funds to support EmBe’s mission. This year saw 72 nominees for the program.
"We are grateful to our nominators for recognizing the outstanding women, men, and businesses that are making an impact within our community, and our sponsors for helping us make The EMBES so impactful," expressed Ravan Ackerman, chief development officer at EmBe.
Winners of this year’s EMBES Awards:
- Banking & Finance: Jess Evans, South Dakota Development Corp.
- Business Achievement: Emmersen Uitts, The Playground — Indoor Softball Facility
- Community & Public Service: Betsy Schuster, Active Generations
- EmBeliever Award: Steffanie Holtrop, ‘hood Magazine, MED Magazine, Familyfest Fun Cruise
- Healthcare & STEM: Dr. Molly Uhing, Avera Medical Group
- Outstanding Educator: Sarah Siemonsma, Avera
- Performing, Visual & Creative Arts: Maren Engel, city of Sioux Falls
- Sylvia Henkin Mentoring Award: Renee Schulz, Sanford Health
- Young Woman of Achievement: Myah Selland, Sioux Falls School District
