Family seeks answers after business owner fatally shot in South Philadelphia
It has been over two months since a man was gunned down in South Philadelphia. Now, his family is hoping you can provide answers.
"This was a complete shock to us that he died due to gun violence. This is like senseless violence. To the point, how, why?" expressed the family of Ronald Nutter Jr., killed just after midnight on Thursday, July 30, 2026, along Warrington Avenue in South Philadelphia.
Nutter, a 38-year-old business owner and father of six, was sitting in his car when he was shot multiple times. The family believes he may have been targeted but doesn't know why.
"Just turn themselves in and give his mother some peace. His children deserve answers, his mother deserves answers," they pleaded, as a $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Call 215-546-TIPS with confidential tips.
