Former Youngstown Clerk Accused of Falsifying Business Records
A woman is facing charges after she allegedly used a Village of Youngstown account to make fraudulent transactions while employed as a village clerk, the Niagara County Sheriff’s office said Friday.
The sheriff’s office stated that an investigation revealed Alexandra P. Certo utilized the account to facilitate over $28,400 in purchases and fraudulent activities for personal gain.
Certo was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny and five counts of first-degree falsifying business records. She was taken to the Niagara County Correctional Facility and is scheduled for arraignment. A future court date in the Town of Porter will be determined.
Additional charges are possible.
