Goalless draw on return to league business
FC Red Bull Salzburg drew 0-0 with GAK on Sat, October 10, 2026, at 7:47 PM UTC, extending their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga.
The match in Graz was a tense affair, with both teams creating chances. Yorbe Vertessen and Lindstrom threatened early for Salzburg, while GAK's Oberleitner and Anderson hit the woodwork. Karim Konate's shot also hit the post, leaving the teams at a stalemate at halftime.
In the second half, GAK dominated, with Scheiblehner's side pressing hard and creating several good opportunities. Stankovic in the GAK goal was in fine form, denying Vertessen and Haris Tabakovic late on.
Christian Früchtl, Salzburg's goalkeeper, reflected on the game:
As a goalkeeper, you simply have to be there when you're needed. [...] We knew what to expect, but we weren't quite sharp enough to secure all three points. Ultimately, GAK earned this point with their determined performance.
The Red Bulls next face AC Milan in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
