Hillsborough County Active Threat
Emergency personnel responded to a business complex near Interstate 75 and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in Brandon on Wednesday afternoon due to an active threat.

Deputies responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m. and advised the public to avoid MLK and Falkenburg Road due to a heavy law enforcement presence. According to reports, a SWAT team was among the crews that responded to the Citigroup complex near Interstate 75.
Spectrum Bay News 9 reporter Fallon Silcox stated that she spoke with a shaken woman who reported people running from the scene. Several ambulances arrived at the scene just after 1:30 p.m.
Citi released a statement: "We are aware of an incident impacting our site in Tampa, Florida, and are coordinating with law enforcement."
A reunification center was set up for employees after the building was evacuated. The location is Staybridge Suites Tampa East at Queen Palm Drive and North Falkenburg Road. (3624 North Falkenburg Road, Tampa, FL, 33619)
