9 Things I Wish Passengers Would Stop Doing on Airplanes
As a former flight attendant, here are some habits I'd like to see passengers abandon for a more pleasant flying experience:
- "Remember that we're all trying to get somewhere safely." — This is not an exhaustive list, but it highlights some pesky issues.
- In the world of bustling airports and airplanes, it's important to note that every action has consequences.
- Delve into navigating the labyrinthine security lines with a sense of urgency, pushing and shoving.
- Whispering loudly or having private conversations on speakerphone, disrupting fellow passengers.
- Leave your shoes on and stink up the entire plane (or at least your neighbor).
- Engage in rowdy behavior, such as shouting or fighting over in-flight entertainment.
- Forget to return empty drink containers, creating a messy and unhygienic environment.
- Attempt to bring prohibited items onto the aircraft, causing delays and frustration for everyone.
- Not follow safety instructions during emergency situations. Your life and that of others depend on it.
