Kansas City leaders, non-profits and businesses turn unity into investments
Neighborhood leaders, nonprofits and businesses packed into Kansas City, Kansas, on Saturday, focused on turning unity into real investments.
The 2026 Community Unity Leadership Summit, a free event bringing together connections across Wyandotte County, aimed to:
- Strengthen neighborhoods
- Support families
- Celebrate culture
- Improve the quality of life
Organizers believe the summit, by lifting up local voices and connecting people with resources, can:
- Increase awareness of community initiatives
- Strengthen families and safety across eastern Wyandotte County
"There’s been a lot of good momentum... just building to bring a lot of attention and economic activity and community building in the area," an organizer remarked. “One of the things that we see that we can help with is just how do we make people aware of everything? There’s so much good happening.”
