A Vibrant Community Gathering
Black-owned businesses, artists, and organizations united on the east side of Kansas City for ECOSYSTEM, a community market dedicated to support and connection. Hosted by Ruby Jean’s Juicery in partnership with KC Black Owned, the event took place at 3000 Troost Ave.
Empowering Local Entrepreneurs
The market aimed to:
- Help small businesses reach wider audiences.
- Encourage residents to shop locally and support their neighborhood businesses.
- Foster a sense of community and belonging along Troost Avenue.

Organizer Vision
Dr. Chelsey M., founder of KC Black Owned, expressed the event's purpose: "We really want to show the community and help consumers diversify their shopping experience."
Chris Goode, founder of Ruby Jean’s Juicery, shared his inspiration: "I said how about we come together and we do something in the form of (an) ecosystem... bringing our audiences together to have a good time."
