GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Schmitt discussed the challenges faced by shop and restaurant owners, including crime, loitering, homelessness, and juvenile misbehavior, which they believe are impacting their businesses. Some even considered leaving downtown.
Schmitt proposed addressing these issues by finding appropriate housing for the homeless instead of ignoring the problem. He also emphasized the need for a unified downtown plan across all three districts under strong leadership.
