A Prospect man, 66-year-old Michael Palmerie, was arrested on charges of stalking causing emotional distress after a warrant was issued in May, detailing his alleged harassment and stalking behavior towards a former business partner.
The victim, who owns a funeral home in Prospect, had previously partnered with Palmerie in mortuary services but ended the partnership in 2014 due to concerns over Palmerie's involvement in the business without authorization.
According to the arrest warrant:
- Palmerie threatened physical violence and caused damage to the victim’s business operations.
- He was observed following the victim's wife in her vehicle into a church parking lot and blocking her temporarily.
Palmerie turned himself in on Friday, facing charges stemming from his alleged actions. He was released on a $25,000 bond and is set to appear in court on October 22nd.
