Romance and Business: Wildfire Bookshop Sparks Joy
By David James | October 15, 2026
Stacey Fish opened Wildfire Bookshop, a romance bookstore located on the east end of College Road, nearly a year ago. Her motivation? To create a space that sparks joy.
"My biggest thing is, do whatever sparks joy," Fish said. And for her, that means fostering a cozy and welcoming environment that extends beyond simply selling books.
The softly-lit bookstore, adorned with books lining the walls, a fireplace, and cushioned chairs, encourages patrons to linger, chat, and discover new connections.
"Women come in here and they find a place and they meet new people and they just hang out," Fish shared. "They get to sit in the cozy ambiance and enjoy themselves."
This unique approach to book retailing has been well-received by the community, making Wildfire Bookshop a game-changer in the local literary scene.
