Scouting America Council to Honor Hunt Family
The Natural State Council of Scouting America announced Tuesday (Sept. 29) that it will honor the Hunt family at its 2026 Northwest Arkansas Heart of the Eagle luncheon. The event starts at noon on Oct. 13 at the Rogers Convention Center.
This annual recognition celebrates individuals and families who have significantly impacted their communities through leadership and service. The Hunt family has played a pivotal role in Arkansas' history, leaving a lasting legacy in business, philanthropy, and community investment.
J.B. and Johnelle Hunt built Lowell-based J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. from a modest Arkansas enterprise into a prominent transportation and logistics company serving North America. As philanthropists, the couple has supported various causes, including healthcare, education, children's services, economic development, and community initiatives across the state.
Tom Allen, president of Cushman & Wakefield / Sage Partners in Rogers, serves as the event's committee chairman. At Sage Partners, he offers strategic guidance to clients in commercial real estate development, leasing, acquisitions, sales, and property management. Allen also oversees Hunt Ventures' commercial real estate portfolio, shaping development strategies and asset management for diverse properties.
"What distinguishes the Hunt family is their enduring values passed down through generations," Allen remarked. "J.B. and Johnelle set the bar, and their legacy continues within the family. Scouting embodies this principle, fostering the transfer of character from one generation to the next, ensuring its longevity."
Bryan Hunt Jr., son of J.B., will accept the honor on behalf of the family.
