Shoppers Buying Online While Drunk: A Growing Trend or Problem?

The phenomenon of shoppers purchasing online under the influence of alcohol has become a notable trend, raising questions about responsibility and consumer behavior. As previously mentioned, this practice, often referred to as "drunk shopping," is a significant concern in the digital retail landscape.

"It’s important to note that while it may seem like a harmless fun, drunk shopping can lead to impulsive and irrational decisions," as highlighted by several experts. The convenience of online shopping, coupled with the allure of a buzzed state, can result in unintended consequences such as overspending and making purchases without full consideration.

In light of this, the question arises: who is accountable for the rise of drunk shopping? Is it the responsibility of e-commerce platforms to implement measures that discourage or prevent this behavior, or is it a matter of individual choice and self-control?
