Orioles Lay Off Multiple Employees from Business Operations Department
The Orioles have laid off several employees from their business operations department, as per an internal memo obtained by The Baltimore Sun from Catie Griggs, the president of business operations. A team spokesperson confirmed the changes but declined to provide specific details.
"Today we made difficult changes to our business, reshaping some roles and reporting lines and saying goodbye to colleagues," Griggs wrote in the memo. "Some of the people leaving have been here for more than a decade, others for a much shorter time, and every one of them was part of our team."
A Dozen or More Employees Affected
A source close to the situation revealed that approximately "a dozen, if not more" employees were impacted by the layoffs.
