Three teenagers, aged 15, 16, and 17, are facing charges after a string of 15 commercial burglaries across Baltimore County. WBFF has reported on this surge of break-ins, leaving business owners with thousands of dollars in damage.

The Baltimore County Police Department states that the suspects are each charged with:

  • Second-degree burglary
  • Destruction of property

Officers documented break-ins at various locations across the county, including:

  • Merritt Boulevard
  • Pulaski Highway
  • Baltimore National Pike
  • Holabird Avenue

These burglaries have impacted businesses in several communities, prompting concerns from residents about the extent of the crime and the involvement of local youth.

“It isn't like they were targeting a specific store... that's a long way to go,” said one resident, Eddie Dro.

Another resident expressed concern about the behavior of today's teenagers:

“I actually have teenagers as well, and this generation is definitely coming up wild. I don't know what's going on, whether we need to do more as parents, but they need to get it under control because they are wild out here.”

Some business owners are facing significant repair bills after shattered glass and broken doors resulted from the burglaries. A glass repair worker estimated one business’s losses at “thousands of dollars.”

Police have not released further information about the suspects, focusing instead on the 15 separate break-ins and the impact on affected businesses.

The community is now looking to the juvenile justice system for answers, questioning the causes behind the burglaries and holding both the suspects and their parents accountable.
