Vintage & Coffee Celebrates One Year of Business

El Centro's Vintage & Coffee Marks Significant Milestone

On Thursday, Oct. 8, El Centro’s Vintage & Coffee hosted a one-year anniversary ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its first year in business and look forward to another year of success.

The ceremony took place outside the shop at 719 Main St, with tables set up for attendees to enjoy their drinks while admiring the vintage cars from the Drifters Car Club lining the street.

Shop owners Elizabeth Espinoza and Julian Yocupicio greeted guests and expressed their gratitude for the community's support.

"It feels incredible," Espinoza shared. "It happened so fast, and we're just grateful to make it to one year."

Yocupicio added, "I’m celebrating the small wins. We’re very grateful that we are here one year later, very grateful for the community that’s here and very grateful for the staff and the help of my partner here. Just really excited to keep on going."

A Journey Towards Success

The idea for Vintage & Coffee started in 2023 with monthly markets at the American Legion, where the owners gathered feedback and built relationships with customers. This led them to acquiring a permanent space on Main Street in 2024.

After moving into their storefront, they dedicated time to refining their concept and officially opened their doors to the public on Sept. 30, 2025.

The shop offers a unique blend of vintage clothing and beverages, with core ingredients sourced from Hawaii and Japan. Their coffee is sourced from Greenland Coffee Farm in Oahu, while the matcha comes from Japan, as Espinoza recalls a memorable trip to the island where they toured the farm.
