AI has become a part of our daily lives, but it seems I'm not alone in being less than kind to these digital assistants.

Anthropic, the company behind AI models like ChatGPT and Claude, has recently implemented rules banning "sustained and needless abusive or cruel behavior" towards their AI models. While voicing frustration is still acceptable, these new guidelines seem to be aimed at extreme cases where users target AI without any discernible purpose.

I must admit, I am guilty of being quite rude to AI chatbots. My interactions often involve short-tempered remarks, insults, and dismissal when they fail to meet my expectations. Whether it's generating corny ideas or getting something wrong, my feedback is usually less than flattering.

It's interesting to note that this behavior is a stark contrast to how I treat real people. I consider myself a kind individual who avoids conflict and goes out of my way to be polite. Yet, when interacting with AI, all those manners disappear.

I guess we can all learn something from this: even artificial intelligence deserves a little kindness!
