Wilton business damaged by Monday afternoon fire - WABI

Fire breaks out at Wilton brewery, deemed accidental

A fire occurred on Monday afternoon at Ambition Brewing in downtown Wilton. The fire was confined to one of the two buildings used by the establishment, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, though the second building suffered smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported.

Officials attribute the fire's origin to an area where flooring had been removed, revealing a partially open structure vulnerable to leaf and debris buildup. The dry, flammable material ignited during renovation work.

The Fire Marshal’s Office has classified the incident as accidental. Responding departments included crews from Wilton, Jay, Farmington, Rumford, Temple, and East Dixfield. The brewery expressed gratitude to first responders and surrounding businesses for their support.
