Youngstown Business Nominated for Two Minority Business Enterprise Awards

A Youngstown-area business, Buzz Bros, has been nominated for two statewide Minority Business Enterprise awards. The company, which provides home care and interior remodeling services, was started by best friends and business partners, Alexi Psaras and DaJwan Stubbs, a couple of years ago.

"Starting a business is tough enough, but Buzz Bros is showing the tenacity it takes to reach the top," Psaras shared.

A Testament to Hard Work and Dedication

The duo is supported by organizations like YBI and the Minority Business Assistance Center. Through their programs, Psaras and Stubbs are learning the ins and outs of running a successful business.

"It's ugly sometimes. It's more ugly than it is pretty. But when you get nominated for something like this, it shows your hard work and dedication that your hard work is actually paying off," Stubbs expressed.

Buzz Bros is one of only a few Youngstown companies nominated for an award, competing against businesses from Ohio's major cities. Their approach to detail, both inside and out, has caught the attention of judges.

You can vote for Buzz Bros from October 14, 2026, through October 16, 2026, at [voting link not provided in the text].
