With the election deadline looming Tuesday, many business owners are struggling with how to express a desire for change — through their votes.

Spring McManus owns a candy shop called Sugar Rush on Bothell’s Main Street. Her business has struggled since tariffs went up. She had to raise prices, which she says made her cry a bit. And what has that meant for her?

"It's been tough," McManus says. "We're a small business, so every penny counts."

She hopes that by voting, she can help bring about change that would benefit her business and others like it.
