Chamber of Commerce Announces 2026 Best in Business Awards Honorees
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce has named the recipients of its annual Best in Business Awards, recognizing six businesses and individuals for their contributions to the area.
The chamber holds these awards annually to honor local business leaders.
“They’re building our workforce. They’re giving back to community. And so this is our opportunity to finish the year strong and celebrate our members,” said Andrea Copeland, president and CEO of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Copeland noted that the contributions of local businesses have a lasting impact on the city and the broader region.
“When you have all of that strength happening, you have a strong regional economy. That’s always good. Even when the economy around us may not be doing well, we can still thrive when we have businesses and individuals and organizations like those who are being honored at the dinner,” Copeland added.
The awards will be presented during a dinner on November 17 at The Club at Glenmore.
The honorees and awards are as follows:
- One to Watch: Matt Paysour with Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry
- Non-profit of the Year: Building Goodness Foundation
- Large Employer of the Year: Tiger Fuel Company
- Small Business of the Year: Woodard Properties
- Business Leader of the Year: Marcie Lara with Taylor’s Auto Body Shop
- Lifetime Recipient Award: William Crutchfield of Crutchfield Corporation
“We, as a Chamber of Commerce, if we can be in a position to celebrate them and bring our membership along to celebrate them, what a great way to end the year,” Copeland concluded.
