The Panthers 'Celebration of Hispanic Excellence’ program recognizes individuals nominated by their peers, colleagues, families, or friends for the positive impact they are making in South Florida and beyond. This includes business owners, educators, creators, healthcare workers, public servants, executives, and more.
Last week, leaders in public service and education were recognized.
For week two, the Panthers will highlight honorees in business.
Assistant County Administrator/ Broward County Board of County Commissioners
Dr. Isami Ayala-Collazo was named Assistant County Administrator in August 2025 and brings over 25 years of public administration experience at state, county, and local levels of government. Prior to joining Broward County, she held a dual role as Assistant County Administrator and Director of the Facilities Development and Operations department for Palm Beach County. Before moving to South Florida, she served as the Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer for the Department of General Services in Montgomery County, Maryland. Dr. Ayala-Collazo's background is multifaceted; she is a professional engineer, an attorney, and a doctor in public administration. Much of her experience and expertise lies in managing large-scale capital improvement projects, performing every phase of project management for multiple, multi-million-dollar projects. Her engineering and project management background and experience will be a tremendous asset to Broward County as the County embarks on major capital projects, such as the forensic science center, emergency operations and communications center, and a new governmental center. She oversees a robust portfolio of agencies and is a trusted advisor.
Chief Operating Officer, Tobias Financial Advisors
Edgar Collado is Chief Operating Officer for Tobias Financial Advisors, where he oversees operations, finance, human resources, compliance, marketing, and strategic initiatives. Since joining the firm in 2017, he has contributed to its growth and success.
