Mio Sushi Closes in Bend After Nearly 20 Years in Business

By Kelsey Merison

KTVZ reports that Mio Sushi is closing its doors in Bend after almost two decades in business. The decision comes as the Old Mill District chose not to renew their lease.

Mio Sushi had faced recent challenges with health inspections, accumulating some of the county's lowest scores for violations such as improper sanitation, food storage temperatures, and missing food handler permits.

The restaurant has quietly removed its signage and covered its windows without any official announcement of closure. The space will be transformed into the Old Mill District's SantaLand, typically opening after Thanksgiving.
