NVDA News:
- NVDA 2026 Regional Plan Update: On Oct 15, the Board of Directors voted to adopt the NVDA 2026 Regional Plan (external link) at the 2026 Annual Meeting. Thanks to strong municipal participation, the Northeast Kingdom can move forward with an approved Regional Plan while advocating for changes to Vermont's land use framework. - NVDA Enhanced Energy Planning Data & Act 174 Community Support: Explore the latest energy data and maps on the NVDA Regional Plan website. Set up a time with NVDA to learn about Act 174 Enhanced Energy Planning and join the NEK Energy Network.
- $1 Million Supports Newport Downtown Revitalization: NVDA has acquired the Newport Development Block, formerly "The Pit," for $1.1 million, marking a significant step in the City of Newport's revitalization efforts. The acquisition was partly funded by a $1 million Rural Industry Development Program (RIDP) grant from the Vermont Department of Economic Development.
