The Chicago-based RJW Logistics Group, with an existing office in Bentonville, is set to establish an additional Northwest Arkansas location. This expansion comes in response to client growth and to support the new logistics program offered by Walmart.

Spencer Smith, chief growth officer of RJW, anticipates opening the new office by the first quarter of the year, either in Bentonville or Rogers. The space is expected to range from 3,000 to 5,000 square feet, with potential expansion to double or triple the current office size, including meeting facilities. While Smith did not disclose the investment amount, he mentioned a lease duration of five to seven years.

"For us, it’s crucial to be part of the vendor community in Northwest Arkansas, especially since most major companies have a presence here if they do business with Walmart," Smith emphasized. "We are a primary Walmart consolidator and one of the few 3PLs to be a preferred provider for Walmart's new national PO program."

This program, Walmart’s Prepaid Consolidation, allows suppliers to ship goods under a single national purchase order to a central location, streamlining logistics while maintaining existing terms. Shippers can manage these shipments through Walmart or approved third-party logistics providers like RJW, C.H. Robinson, or Hub Group.

"It’s been live for about five months, and we’ve seen significant interest," Smith noted. "We are even expanding our services to other NPO markets."
