A new survey of Seattle business owners reveals widespread pessimism about the city's business climate.
Over half of the respondents reported a decline in the past year. The online survey, conducted in late summer by the Seattle Metro Chamber and Downtown Seattle Association, polled their members.
The findings underscore concerns about taxes and safety as the primary headaches for Seattle businesses.
Taxes topped the list of worries, followed by public safety and red tape. While the survey offers a snapshot, it serves as a testament to the challenges Seattle's business community faces.
