Sara Jamison, founder of Terra Shepherd Boutique & Apothecary in downtown Sioux Falls, has been recognized for her sustainable business practices and community impact.
In October 2025, Jamison was awarded a $10,000 Backing Small Businesses grant by Main Street America, an organization dedicated to strengthening local economies. This grant supported the expansion of Terra Shepherd's refillery program, offering customers a wide range of eco-friendly product refills.
"The grant enabled us to expand our refillery to include almost 50 refill options," Jamison shares. "We added more options to our bestselling laundry assortment, expanded our skin care selection, and introduced new products like essential oil room sprays."
Terra Shepherd was one of five grant recipients in South Dakota and two in Sioux Falls.
Jamison's success story didn't go unnoticed. The First National Bank in Sioux Falls nominated her for this year's Vision Sioux Falls Awards from the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, recognizing her as a game-changer in the local business landscape.
The bank had previously supported Jamison's business journey with a 7(a) loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2019, helping bring Terra Shepherd to life.
