Iowa State students will have ample opportunities to engage with business professionals, explore career paths, and enhance their professional skills during this year’s Business Week, taking place from Monday through Friday. Hosted by the Ivy College of Business, this annual event promises a diverse range of activities:
- Monday: Kickstarting the week is a T-shirt giveaway at 9 a.m. in the Granite Hallway of the Gerdin Business Building. Students can also participate in a Mental Health Boost service project from 12:30 to 3 p.m. in the Kingland Hub, creating personalized mental health kits for themselves and ISU Student Wellness and Counseling Services. The event will feature therapy dogs, a dirty soda bar, and prize drawings.
- Tuesday: Students can gain insights from employers about what makes a candidate stand out early in their career during the employer panel, "What Makes a Candidate Stand Out in Early-Career Roles (From a Manager’s Perspective)," from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. in the Kingland Hub. The first 100 students will receive box lunches, and participation awards are up for grabs.
- Wednesday: From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., students can attend an event where they’ll receive resume and professional introduction feedback, learn about graduate programs, and take part in a service project.
Mark your calendars and get ready to dive into a week filled with valuable experiences!
